Thursday night, the President of the United States went on national television and showed the country declassified evidence that China actively worked to steal the 2020 election — targeting swing states, paying journalists to write negative stories about Trump, using business contracts to pressure American executives, and directing resources specifically toward defeating him.
In addition, the administration has found that more than 250,000 non-citizens are registered to vote in just four states – California, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Nevada.
But on Friday morning, retiring RINO Thom Tillis took to the Senate floor and vowed to use “every device” available to him to stop election security legislation from passing.
Let that sequence sink in. China interfered. A quarter million illegals are registered voters. And Tillis is blocking the fix.
Standing on the Senate floor nearly shouting, the retiring North Carolina Republican promised that if the SAVE America Act provisions appear in Reconciliation 3.0, he will personally grind Senate business to a halt until they’re removed. “I will use every device I have available to slow down the wheels of government until people cop a clue and do the math,” Tillis said — nearly word for word repeating the same threat he’s been making for months while the SAVE America Act dies in the upper chamber.
The “math” Tillis keeps referencing is his claim that there isn’t enough time before November to implement the bill’s requirements even if it passes. It’s a convenient argument. It’s also one that could be made against virtually any election security measure at virtually any point in any election cycle — and that’s precisely why it’s so dangerous. If “not enough time” is always the answer, election security legislation can never pass. Which appears to be exactly the outcome Tillis prefers.
The deeper question — the one independent journalist Sara Gonzales asked him directly in a hallway confrontation that Tillis found so irritating he mentioned it on the Senate floor — is why. Why does a Republican senator fight so hard against legislation that 80% of Americans support? Gonzales pointed out that Tillis has received nearly $700,000 in donations from industries tied to cheap illegal labor. He walked away from the question. Then complained about it publicly the next day, which is about as close to a confirmation as you can get without actually answering.
This is the same Thom Tillis who nearly torpedoed Pete Hegseth’s confirmation. Who blocked Ed Martin’s full-time appointment as D.C. Attorney. Who has spent his lame-duck months reliably appearing on the wrong side of every fight that matters to the Republican base. A man who knows he’s not running again, has nothing to lose, and has apparently decided to spend his final months in the Senate making himself as useful to the opposition as possible.
The SAVE America Act requires proof of citizenship to register and photo ID to vote. China was paying journalists and targeting swing states to defeat a sitting American president. The connection between those two facts is not subtle.
The retiring Tillis wants to make sure the second fact can happen again. January 2027 cannot come fast enough.

For those unversed with the disorder it is where red blood cells end up getting destroyed in the body way faster than the bone marrow can make new ones. It leads to dizziness, shortness of breath and a myriad of other conditions.
On Thursday an official update was also shared, whereby the Palace had revealed how serious his condition was. What is also pertinent to mention is that the royal has been on the throne since 1991, and is considered Europe’s oldest head of state, according to the outlet.
His son, the Crown Prince is also 53-years’ old and has already been serving as regent while his father was on medical leave.
The outlet’s report also says, “King Harald has been treated in recent weeks with cortisone for haemolytic anaemia, a condition that causes the number of red blood cells in the body to be reduced, and leads to fatigue and shortness of breath.”
The official website has also gone down since then, with the simple message, "It is with deep grief that we announce that His Majesty King Harald has passed away. King Harald died peacefully at Oslo University Hospital Rikshospitalet Friday 28 August at 6:35 AM."

The country music legend died Aug. 25 at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center in Nashville. She was 80.
Parton had been admitted to the cancer center Friday, four days before her death. Her representatives confirmed the cancer diagnosis in a statement to PEOPLE but did not disclose what type she had.
“Our beloved Dolly Parton spent her life and career bringing joy, laughter, hope and integrity into everything she touched. Her unmatched generosity reached the lives of countless people whom she would never meet, yet she was always there to offer a helping hand,” the statement read.
“Whether it be the hundreds of millions of books donated through her invaluable Imagination Library or funding research that helped create a lifesaving vaccine used around the world, Dolly’s unconditional love for all people was the guiding force for her lasting impact. After bravely facing a brief battle with cancer, Dolly departed her Earthly life today at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center surrounded by loved ones,” the statement concluded.
The “Jolene” singer had also been dealing with kidney and autoimmune issues before her death, PEOPLE previously reported.
Just days earlier, Dolly Parton opened up about her declining health and acknowledged that she had put off addressing some medical issues while caring for her husband, Carl.
“As I’ve shared in video messages throughout the past year, I am dealing with some health issues that I just didn’t pay attention to when I was watching over [my husband] Carl. You know, this isn’t the first time I’ve had to manage something like this. Back in the early ’80s, I was down for several months with female issues, and I was struggling with my weight at the time too, so it’s not like I haven’t been through hard times with my health,” Parton told PEOPLE.
Her nephew, Bryan Seaver, announced her death in an Instagram video Tuesday on behalf of the Parton and Owens family.
“My name is Bryan Seaver, son of Cassie Parton, and I’m representing the Parton and Owens family today announcing the passing of my aunt, Dolly Rebecca Parton Dean, Sister, Sis and Granny to one generation and Gigi to the next,” he says in the video.
Seaver, who served as Parton’s head of security for more than two decades, said she had asked him years earlier to deliver the announcement.
“This video announcement is something Dolly asked of me years ago, before I fully absorbed it as a future reality,” he continued. “As her head of security for more than two decades, a role my father Larry held before me, I have imagined the heaviness of this moment but haven’t truly felt it until now.”
Seaver said the moment brought immense pride and heartbreak, but he took comfort in his faith that Parton had been reunited with Carl and other loved ones.
