HEARTBREAKING REASON PRINCE HARRY DIDN'T FIT IN AT ETON WHILE BROTHER WILLIAM DID

Prince George is just hours away from starting his new school life at Eton College this September. The young prince, who turned 13 this summer, will move to Eton for the next stage of his education, during which he will also become a full-time boarder.

Following in the footsteps of his father Prince William, who also attended Eton, George will feel reassured by knowing how much his dad loved the school. However, it seems that not every royal at Eton enjoyed their time there. One royal who was not particularly fond of the school was Prince Harry, who said he didn’t fit in there.
The reason for this, according to Harry, is the fact he didn’t really fit into one sporting group like the other boys did.

Writing in his 2023 memoir Spare, Harry said: "Sport, I decided, would be my thing at Eton.

“Sporty boys were separated into two groups: dry bobs and wet bobs."Dry bobs played cricket, football, rugby, or polo. Wet bobs rowed, sailed, or swam.

He continued: "I played every dry sport, though rugby captured my heart. Beautiful game, plus a good excuse to run into stuff very hard.

“Rugby let me indulge my rage. I simply didn't feel pain the way other boys did, which made me scary on a pitch."
Harry also once disclosed that he found his move to Eton hard, as his older brother, Prince William, didn’t want Harry following him around - something many older siblings can relate to.

The Duke of Sussex wrote in Spare: “Willy told me to pretend I didn’t know him. For the last two years, he explained, Eton had been his sanctuary.

“No kid brother tagging along, pestering him with questions, pushing up on his social circle. He was forging his own life, and he wasn’t willing to give that up.”
