Meghan and Harry could return to the US 'for good' for major reason

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry moved back to the UK last month.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry could be set to return to America "within weeks" if one thing doesn't go their way. The couple made a shock return to Britain with their two children at the end of August, six years after stepping down from royal duties and moving to the US.

The family of four are said to have returned to the UK for an "extended period", with no actual knowledge of how long they plan to stay. However, with a review of their security in the UK coming up, insiders have said that, if it doesn't go their way, they could return to the US "for good".
The Royal and VIP Executive Committee, also known as Ravec, oversees Royal and VIP security in the UK.
The committee, however, met again to discuss the couple's level of police protection now that Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet are residents.

Speaking about the couple, a friend of Prince Harry's reportedly said: "If he doesn’t get [security] then I believe he will go back to Montecito for good, and that could be as soon as half-term."
According to the Daily Mail, they said, "The view is that if they don't get security then it will have to mean that Ravec has been nobbled. The need is so clear, what else could be the explanation?
"So if he doesn't get it then he will take that as a sign that there are deeper elements at play. In that case then he will be safer in the US than in the UK, so he will return."

Meghan will also get her own separate review, her first since deciding to move to the US in 2020.

Archie and Lilibet were previously enrolled at a new school in the UK following their move last month, but were withdrawn after reported security concerns due to heavy traffic and the length of the journey to and from the school.

A spokesman for Harry and Meghan said this decision to move schools "was taken following a discussion with the family's security team".
