The story relied on anonymous sources complaining that agents were “fed up” with last-minute travel requests. It included advance details about a planned Marine Corps helicopter flight — the kind of operational information that has no business appearing in a news article regardless of how annoyed the sources behind it might be. The flight was canceled after the disclosure. The Secret Service, FBI, and White House all took notice of the operational details that made it into print. They identified a suspected source. That agent is now on leave.
Let’s be clear about what this represents. The Vice President of the United States has been the target of two suspected internal leaks from his own protective detail in six months. The first agent — Tomas Escotto, a Biden-era hire who admitted voting for Biden and opposing Trump’s immigration enforcement — was caught discussing protective formations, shift schedules, travel plans, and real-time locations with someone he was trying to impress romantically. He was placed on leave, had his clearance suspended, and his access to agency systems revoked.
The second suspected leaker, unnamed, fed operational details to a left-leaning outlet that used them to run a story designed to embarrass the Vice President and his family publicly. Publishing images of coins and stickers agents made to mock the VP using his Secret Service codename isn’t journalism protecting the public interest. It’s a hit piece assembled with the help of someone inside the detail who decided their political sympathies were more important than their oath.
Secret Service Deputy Director Matthew Quinn said what he said in January and apparently needs to say again: “Nights, weekends, and holidays are part of the job.” You don’t get to leak operational information to friendly media outlets because you’re annoyed about a schedule change. You don’t get to brief journalists on advance movements because you voted for the other guy. That’s not a political opinion worth protecting. It’s a firing offense at minimum and potentially a criminal one.
The Vance family thanked the agents who serve with distinction. That’s the gracious response. The appropriate institutional response is considerably less gracious toward the people who have now done this twice.

For those unversed with the disorder it is where red blood cells end up getting destroyed in the body way faster than the bone marrow can make new ones. It leads to dizziness, shortness of breath and a myriad of other conditions.
On Thursday an official update was also shared, whereby the Palace had revealed how serious his condition was. What is also pertinent to mention is that the royal has been on the throne since 1991, and is considered Europe’s oldest head of state, according to the outlet.
His son, the Crown Prince is also 53-years’ old and has already been serving as regent while his father was on medical leave.
The outlet’s report also says, “King Harald has been treated in recent weeks with cortisone for haemolytic anaemia, a condition that causes the number of red blood cells in the body to be reduced, and leads to fatigue and shortness of breath.”
The official website has also gone down since then, with the simple message, "It is with deep grief that we announce that His Majesty King Harald has passed away. King Harald died peacefully at Oslo University Hospital Rikshospitalet Friday 28 August at 6:35 AM."

Dolly Parton’s death came after a brief battle with cancer, her representatives revealed Tuesday.
The country music legend died Aug. 25 at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center in Nashville. She was 80.
Parton had been admitted to the cancer center Friday, four days before her death. Her representatives confirmed the cancer diagnosis in a statement to PEOPLE but did not disclose what type she had.
“Our beloved Dolly Parton spent her life and career bringing joy, laughter, hope and integrity into everything she touched. Her unmatched generosity reached the lives of countless people whom she would never meet, yet she was always there to offer a helping hand,” the statement read.
“Whether it be the hundreds of millions of books donated through her invaluable Imagination Library or funding research that helped create a lifesaving vaccine used around the world, Dolly’s unconditional love for all people was the guiding force for her lasting impact. After bravely facing a brief battle with cancer, Dolly departed her Earthly life today at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center surrounded by loved ones,” the statement concluded.
The “Jolene” singer had also been dealing with kidney and autoimmune issues before her death, PEOPLE previously reported.
Just days earlier, Dolly Parton opened up about her declining health and acknowledged that she had put off addressing some medical issues while caring for her husband, Carl.
“As I’ve shared in video messages throughout the past year, I am dealing with some health issues that I just didn’t pay attention to when I was watching over [my husband] Carl. You know, this isn’t the first time I’ve had to manage something like this. Back in the early ’80s, I was down for several months with female issues, and I was struggling with my weight at the time too, so it’s not like I haven’t been through hard times with my health,” Parton told PEOPLE.
Her nephew, Bryan Seaver, announced her death in an Instagram video Tuesday on behalf of the Parton and Owens family.
“My name is Bryan Seaver, son of Cassie Parton, and I’m representing the Parton and Owens family today announcing the passing of my aunt, Dolly Rebecca Parton Dean, Sister, Sis and Granny to one generation and Gigi to the next,” he says in the video.
Seaver, who served as Parton’s head of security for more than two decades, said she had asked him years earlier to deliver the announcement.
“This video announcement is something Dolly asked of me years ago, before I fully absorbed it as a future reality,” he continued. “As her head of security for more than two decades, a role my father Larry held before me, I have imagined the heaviness of this moment but haven’t truly felt it until now.”
Seaver said the moment brought immense pride and heartbreak, but he took comfort in his faith that Parton had been reunited with Carl and other loved ones.
