There’s This: Comey’s Own Family Called His ’86 47′ Post a ‘Call for Violence’ — and Said He Belongs in Prison
Former FBI Director and all-around traitor to our governing order James Comey just had a family member rat him out over his problematic threat against President Donald Trump, the guy who fired him for disloyalty.
The man who spent years positioning himself as the conscience of American law enforcement now has a family member on record calling his Instagram post a threat against the president’s life and saying he deserves jail.
Court records from James Comey’s federal prosecution reveal that a relative sent a text message to Comey’s wife Patrice calling the seashell “86 47” photo “a call for violence no matter how you spin it.” The message went further: “You should be ashamed of yourselves. I am thoroughly embarrassed to have ever defended the absolute coward that is your husband. You and Jim are some of the least accepting, most hypocritical people I’ve had the displeasure of knowing. I hope Jim goes to jail for his crimes.”
“Call for violence.” “Coward.” “Goes to jail.” These words came from inside the Comey family — not from conservatives, not from Trump supporters, not from political opponents. From someone who knew him well enough to feel personally embarrassed by him.
The court documents reveal something that makes Comey’s “I didn’t know what 86 meant” defense completely unsustainable. Two minutes before he posted the seashell photo, his wife sent him a screenshot of a cropped definition of U.S. English slang indicating that “86” means to get rid of or refuse service. He knew there was controversy associated with the phrase. He posted the seashell image anyway. Then he deleted it “later that day” — after receiving the family member’s text.
So the sequence is: wife sends him a definition of “86,” he posts “86 47” spelled in seashells, a family member calls it a death threat, he deletes it. And his defense is that it never occurred to him what those numbers meant.
The federal charges are substantive: knowingly and willfully making a threat against the President, and transmitting a threat in interstate commerce. Two concerned citizens in Emerald Isle — one of them a member of law enforcement — reported the post to local police as a threat. They took it seriously. Comey’s own relative took it seriously. AG Todd Blanche has taken it seriously.
The irony of the Comey prosecution is almost too precise to acknowledge without pausing on it. This is the man who prosecuted federal cases. Who ran the FBI. Who oversaw the Crossfire Hurricane operation that turned federal law enforcement against a sitting president. Who opened a criminal investigation of Donald Trump specifically because Trump exercised his constitutional authority to fire the FBI director.
That man now faces federal charges for threatening the president’s life — and his own family is on record in court documents saying he should go to prison.
AG Blanche said it clearly: “You cannot threaten the President of the United States. That’s not my decision, that’s Congress’s decision, in a law that they passed — and so, yes, of course this is a serious case.”
No one is above the law. James Comey spent years saying so. Now he’s finding out it applies to him too.

James, commenting on the controversy, said: "When you hear about this stuff and how long it's been going on for, you should be resigning in disgrace. [Harry] should be saying: 'I'm not touching that with a barge pole. That is a failed entity. We're going nowhere near it'.
"But no. He's still saying he's going to 'support their mission'. And again this Caroline Pearce, executive director of Survival International, goes on to say: 'His departure doesn't undo that record'.
"She alleged that African Parks was aware of the abuses for years, but it was only after Survival complained to Harry that the charity finally commissioned an investigation."
James added: "Well, she's got a point."
It emerged on Monday (August 24) that Harry was no longer a board member of the wildlife charity.
The conservation organisation has admitted that human rights abuses were committed by its rangers against members of the semi-nomadic Baka group in Congo-Brazzaville.
African Parks has said since that it has improved its safeguarding processes both in the Odzala-Kokoua National Park and institutionally.
Its admission followed an independent human rights investigation into allegations guards managed and paid by the charity had beaten, raped and tortured indigenous people in Odzala-Kokoua National Park.
Harry was president of the charity for six years before he became a member of its board of directors in 2023.
A spokesman for the Duke said he remains an active and avid supporter of African Parks. He added: "The Duke is proud of his 10 years with African Parks and fully supports the ongoing strengthening of its board.
"His commitment to conservation in Africa continues and he remains a supporter of African Parks’ mission."
Human rights organisation, Survival International, said it had been calling on Harry to step down from African Parks for years.
The group's director, Caroline Pearce, said in a statement: "It’s outrageous that for 10 years Prince Harry has served African Parks while the organisation has been responsible for abuse and violence against Indigenous people.
"His departure doesn't undo that record — African Parks itself must now be held accountable, and must abandon this model of fortress conservation for good."
Survival International said indigenous peoples know how best to manage their land and the idea outsiders know better is racist and colonial.

The source told The Times: “It’ll be an extended period of time — it could be six months, it could be a year, it could be more — I don’t think even they know yet.
“They might suddenly go: ‘Why don’t we try Canada for a while? Why don’t we try Australia?’ It’s one of the great things about being private individuals [that they can live where they choose].”

Rumours have been swirling about why they are relocating, with some people believing it is due to Harry’s desire to be close to King Charles.
Other reports suggest that Meghan has been offered an acting role based in Britain, although there is no official confirmation.
The family are reportedly set to fly over from California before the end of August, allowing the children to settle before they start at their new school. It has been reported that the family will keep their Montecito home in America, and their Portugal holiday home. It has also been reported that the family's chickens will stay at the Montecito home, while the family's two dogs are expected to fly over to the UK with them.
