Trump Declares He Will 'Cut Ties' with Harry and Meghan

US President Donald Trump has once again criticized Harry and Meghan, claiming they treated William poorly and affirming that he would never speak to the Sussexes again.
The statement was made by Mr. Trump during an interview with GB News host Bev Turner on September 3, a day after he said that if he were in King Charles III's position, he would not welcome Harry and Meghan back to the UK. "I would never speak to him again," Trump said of Harry.
The US President argued that Meghan has a negative influence on her husband and specifically criticized Harry's memoir Spare, in which he mentioned many issues related to William and the royal family. "First of all, I think King Charles III is great; he is a friend of mine. Harry wrote a terrible book, and she [Meghan] is a terrible influence on him. What she has done to him is unacceptable," Trump said.

When Bev Turner commented that Harry and William seem to no longer be in contact, while the King has proactively sought a truce with his youngest son and daughter-in-law, Trump continued to praise the King. "That shows what a good person King Charles III is. He is a much better person than I am. I wouldn't do that. I would absolutely not accept it. Too much hatred, too many truly bad things," the 80-year-old president said.
Turner then joked that Trump's children probably wouldn't treat him the way Harry treated his father. The US President laughed and replied: "I hope not!"
Mr. Trump also reiterated his affection for King Charles III following the King's recent visit to the US. "King Charles III was here a few months ago, and everyone in America loves him. His speech to Congress was very well received. He is a wonderful person," Trump said.

"He and I have been friends for a long time. I knew him when he was Prince Charles, and now I know him as King Charles. He is wonderful and is getting through a very difficult health situation. Very few people have the courage to do what he has done," the US President added.
Previously, Trump stated he was "glad" that Harry and Meghan were leaving the US to return to the UK after six years living in California. "I'm happy about that. I am not a fan of theirs," Trump said. He also specifically criticized Meghan, claiming she was "extremely disrespectful" to Queen Camilla and King Charles III when the couple decided to step back from their roles as senior working royals in 2020.
